Commentary:
Iron Metropolis is the flagship, title song for the album Iron Metropolis because it's a bad-ass name for a song, and a real banger (at least I think so.)

Created over the summer of 2023, Iron Metropolis emerged as an experiment when I hooked up a sequence on the Moog Matriarch to a drum track from the TR-8S. Magic happened, and this started my journey combining semi-modular analog synths with traditional ones.

The analog nature of the Matriarch allows me to get in there and play with the knobs and filters during recording, and that's what gives Iron Metropolis a lot of character. I really like any excuse to use the Matriarch in an Omega Ronin song because it takes forever to hook up and record, but when it works, it works.

I forget where the title came from. Perhaps, subliminally, it tapped into my fondness of the movie Metropolis and Iron Maiden. Who can say...
