Omega Ronin: Mechanical Sea Monster | Song (2026)
Mechanical Sea Monster is a 2026 electronic music song by Omega Ronin. This odd electronica song is fitting for a track about a strange mechanical sea monster that lurks beneath the surface and growls at passing vessels. Is it friendly? It does have a funky beat.

Omega Ronin: Mechanical Sea Monster Commentary
The S.S. Omega Ronin sails the seven seas and encounters a Mechanical Sea Monster on its voyage. Is it friendly? It roars.
I'll often spend evenings in recording sessions on my patio with gear like the Moog Subharmonicon, a neat analog synthesizer. This gives me time to experiment with ideas and record things without rushing into any ideas. I rarely have ideas at all when tinkering with my analog gear, because I never know what it'll do.
After fiddling with patch cables and settings, I dialed in a beat and recorded it. That became the foundation for Mechanical Sea Monster. The drums are all sampled from my Nord Drum, and I layered the other hardware synthesizers on top of it. The FX knobs on the Opsix give the song some eerie underwater qualities.
It's an odd song, but hopefully fun to listen to for those interested in outside-the-ordinary electronic music created by human beings.
